    Calender Month Series - April

Hi everyone, today I have the fourth instalment of my Calender Month Series for you all! And of course this page is featuring the page for the month April. If you don’t know what this Series is about you can find the first three posts for this series at the end of this post. The colours given for this page are a pale rose red and a bluish purple (but in the end I used more of a warmer purple because I liked that more). To start this project I stamped Whimsy Stamps “Peace” ont

“Grace’s Little Note” with Kennedy Grace Creations

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! Today I have my third guest design post for you featuring a stamp set from Kennedy Grace Creations (https://kennedygracecreations.blogspot.nl/) For this fun and colourful card I started by stamping one of the pretty flowers from the “Grace’s Little Note” stamp set from Kennedy Grace Creations repeatedly with Memento’s “Rich Cocoa” ink on Copic friendly paper. I’m still new at colouring with Copic Markers and I haven’t got many colou

“The Same but Different” with Kennedy Grace Creations

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing three cards with you that I made as a guest designer for Kennedy Grace Creations (https://kennedygracecreations.blogspot.nl/)! Today I will show you how to make three cards with the same design but every card has a totally different feel because of the different papers I used to colour the stamped image on. This way you can stretch the use of the craft supplies you have to get a variation of different results. These cards mainly feature the “Tim

    Calender Month Series - February

Hi everyone, today I have part two for you in my Calender Month Series that will continue this entire year! This is a project where I make a fun birthday calender to hang in my new craft room so that I know when my handmade cards need to be ready and also to create a beautiful art piece to hang on the wall. I’m planning to use my most favourite stamps on this calender but we will see how it turns out throughout the year. So, every month this whole year I will decorate a diffe

Vintage looking card with salt & watercolour background

In the next couple of days I‘ll have a mini-series for you, all using the same fun technique. If you don’t know this technique yet, in the last post of this series I’ll explain what you need and how you can make the backgrounds for these cards with salt and watercolour paint (Note: you can find the "How to"-post here: http://www.makeyourlifecolourful.com/single-post/2017/01/24/How-to-Salt-Watercolour-Background). Today’s post will be a couple of vintage looking cards for men!

LOTV Under the Bonnet with Copic Markers

First of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Creative 2017! I hope you had lots of fun over the holidays and that you could spent your time with your loved ones. My boyfriend and I went to the beach over Christmas. It's an approximately 2 hour drive for us and we don't go there very often, about once or twice a year. The weather was nice, very windy but warm for this time of year. I included a couple of pictures for you so you can get an idea of what it looked li

Boy Birthday Card with his Name on it

Today I have a fun boy birthday card for you. I especially love how the sky turned out on this card! This project started out with a piece of white card stock, in the right size, that I planned to make the sky-background on. After finishing the sky my left hand was almost as blue as the sky but fortunately distress inks react well with water! Working on my Ranger Craft Sheet I started adding ink to the white piece of card stock from the middle outwards with my lightest colour

Summary of Christmas cards for 2016

Since I started this website fairly recently I thought it to be best for this year to do a summary of some of the Christmas cards that I made (a “Christmas card for the men in your life” is not included in this post, see under Tab “Cards for Men” to find the post on that card or click http://www.makeyourlifecolourful.com/single-post/2016/12/17/A-Christmas-card-for-the-men-in-your-life) I will mention how to make a certain card and what materials I used.
