Christmas Sprite in three different mediums

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you my second project as a guest designer for Whimsy Stamps. In today’s project I would like to show you one gorgeous sprite stamp coloured three times in three different mediums, so that you can pick and choose which one fits your supplies or style best! For my first card I choose to colour the gorgeous Whimsy Stamps “Christmas Sprite“ image using Copic Markers. You can use any alcohol markers you have of course. I stamped the image onto Copic

    Computer Guy

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you the card that I created for my stepson’s 16th birthday. Like many boys he loves gaming so I decided that this was the perfect image for him! I started my card by printing this image from Mo Manning called “Computer Guy“ onto Canson 1557 paper and I die cut around the image using one of my rectangle stitched nesting dies. On the right hand side of this die cut panel I stamped one of the sentiments from the Kaisercraft “Background Bir

Guest Design Project Crealies : Morning Glory

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you the guest design project that I created for Crealies. Crealies is a Dutch company with awesome dies and stamps in all kinds of different designs. And Annelies, the owner of Crealies, also ships outside the Netherlands, so go and check them out. I choose to create a fun flowery card with hand coloured pink flowers, inspired by morning glory colours that I found on line. So, let’s get started! Step 1: I choose to work on a crème coloured linen

    Fairy Maya with Coloured Pencils

Hi everyone, today I have another card for you using one of the gorgeous Whimsy Stamps fairies: this one is called “Maya”. I was cleaning up my computer and came across this card that I apparently never had published! So let’s get started: I first stamped her on some Strathmore “Drawing” paper (not my favourite paper for coloured pencil by the way) with Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and then started colouring her with my Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils. I used the fol

    Happy Father’s Day!

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you the card that I created for my father for Father’s Day (which is today where I live). I used a fun digital stamp from The Paper Shelter, it’s called “Cockatoo Rules!“. I printed this image on Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper (one of my favourite coloured papers to colour on with coloured pencil). Then I die cut around the image using one die from a rectangle nesting die set (I prefer the Dutch brand Crealies since their die sizes fit th

Lily with Tulips Mother’s Day Card

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you a fun and cute card that I created for Mother’s Day, which is this weekend (at least where I live)! To get this card started I stamped an older Joy Crafts stamp called “Lily met Tulpen“ (Lily with Tulips / 6410/0009) on some Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and my MISTI. Next I coloured the image using coloured pencils: I choose some Holbein Artists‘ Colored Pencils, some Prismacolor coloured pencils and

Whimsy Stamps Guest Designer - Baby Card

Hi everyone, I’m very excited to be back on the Whimsy blog and bring you today’s project as guest designer. I don’t need many baby cards in my life but one of my nephew’s became father of the cutest little girl on earth a few weeks ago, so I made this card for him and his girlfriend to welcome the new family member! For today’s card I choose two stamps from the Whimsy Stamps product line. To get this card started I stamped the adorable Whimsy Stamps “Baby Giraffe“ stamp onto

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you an art journal page that I created for my second guest design post over on the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog. If you don’t know what a challenge blog is then definitely go and check it out! Today I’m working in my Strathmore “Toned Tan“ Art Journal (14 x 21,6 cm in size). I started my project by printing the Oddball image called “City of Love Image no. 379 by Lizzy Love“ onto a separate sheet of Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper, I decided on the s

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you’ll the card that I created for my first guest design post over on the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog. If you don’t know what a challenge blog is then definitely go and check it out! I started my card by printing this gorgeous digital stamp from The Paper Shelter called “She Wolf“ onto some Canson 1557 paper (I like this particular paper because it takes coloured pencil well, it’s white and it’s thick enough but not to thick to run it through my

    LOTV Male Birthday Card

Hi everyone, today I have a fun and easy male birthday card for you all. Blue and Silver

Hi everyone, today I’m on the Kennedy Grace Creations blog with a mood board inspired card. I don’t use blue as a flower colour very much but on this card I really love the end result. This is the mood board all the KGC Design Team Members are working with this month: To get this card started I stamped the flower image from the Kennedy Grace Creations “Kindness Medley“ stamp set onto some Canson 1557 (180 gr./extra white) paper using Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and my MISTI. Flower Baby Card

Hi everyone, today I’m on the Kennedy Grace Creations blog with a fun card combining both baby elements and flowers! To get this card started I die cut a stitched square panel from some Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper and then I first stamped the giraffe from the Kennedy Grace Creations “Sweet Baby Mine” stamp set with Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink onto this panel (I also created a mask from Post-It paper and adhered that over the giraffe) and then I stamped the sunflower from the

    Hollyberry Christmas Cards

Hi everyone, today I have another hand coloured set of Christmas cards for you all. Today’s project is featuring the beautiful Power Poppy “Hollyberries“ digital stamp set. I first printed this beautiful design, together with one of the sentiments that also comes in the same stamp set, onto some Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper twice and then die cut around it using one of the dies in the stitched rectangle Crea-Nest-Lies XXL die set. I coloured one traditional holly card and one

"Power Poppy" Guest Design post: Hues to Use!

Hi everyone! I‘m very excited to be sharing a project with you today as a guest designer for Power Poppy stamps! I love the beautiful stamps this fabulous company makes: they have both clear stamps and digital stamps, all their stamps have a lot of detail and there is a lot of variety to choose from! There are a couple of things that I would like to show you today: first I would like to show you what a different colouring medium can do for the effect that you want to create (

Christmas Card Swap - Part 1

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you a set of cards of which one I created especially for the Kit and Clowder “Christmas Card Swap“: how does this event exactly work? You could sign up for the card swap on the Kit and Clowder Facebook page, you get assigned a designated partner, you create a card for that person and that person for you and then you sent each other the card. The card should be Christmas themed. You have about two weeks to create and sent the card. I al

    Power Poppy ATC’s

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you a set of ATC’s featuring Power Poppy stamps. ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards) are the size of a sport collectable card (6,4 x 8,9 cm). I started this project by measuring 6 x 8,5 cm twice onto Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper and cutting the panels using a craft knife and a ruler. On each of these panels I stamped one of the sentiments from the Power Poppy “Planning for Magnolia’s“ stamp set using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink. Next I also sta

    Hello Color Doodle Card

Hi everyone, today I have a fun doodle card for you all. Did I draw these doodles myself? Nope, it’s a stamp! I was crafting at my friends house a while back and she had this Stampin‘Up stamp set called “Hello Color”, so I started colouring this image that night but wasn’t able to finish it, but since I brought my own coloured pencils I finished it at home. To get this card started I stamped the image on some Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and m
