    Art Journal Page: Pineapple

Hi everyone, today I’m on The Crafter’s Workshop blog with an art journal page showing you how you can create modeling paste in about every colour of the rainbow as well as adding colour to a textured stencilled background. -------------------------------- The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own. -------------------------------- Step 1: Because my pineapple needed to dry for a while I started out with

    Stencilling on Canvas and Denim

Hi everyone, today I’m on The Crafter’s Workshop blog with a fun and functional project where I use stencils on different fabrics. The techniques can result in a simple yet elegant result like I show on today’s apron or you can do multiple steps for a more layered effect like I show on the canvas bag/tote. Let’s get started! -------------------------------- The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own. ---

Alcohol Ink and a hair dryer

Hi everyone, today I’m on the Colourstock blog with a fun experiment: I tried alcohol ink on Yupo paper (which is not really paper, it’s a non porous synthetic with the feel of glossy paper) for the first time! I had a lot of fun and I needed to do a lot of cleaning afterwards! Step 1: First of all, protect your work surface! I can’t stress this enough! I worked on two A4 sized sheets of Yupo. I used Copic Various Inks (which are the Copic refills) for this technique, as well

    Art Journal Page: Sunrise

Hi everyone, today I’m on The Crafter’s Workshop blog with a fun art journal page using the newest range of The Crafter’s Workshop stencils in combination with acrylic paints. This page was created in a 13 x 21 cm Art Plus Moleskine Sketchbook (I keep an empty page between two used pages, when the project is finished I glue them together, this way anything bleeding through won’t damage a previous project and when you want to poke a hole in the page you can). -----------------

Flower card with Air dry clay Mould

Hi everyone, today I'm on the Lindy's Stamp Gang blog and I would like to show you this fun Spring themed flower card using a gorgeous combination of Lindy’s Stamp Gang colours. Step 1: I started with some Canson “XL Watercolor“ paper (mainly because it’s the same crème colour as the moulds that I will show you later on, you can use any watercolour paper you like though). Before stamping use your anti static powder tool. On the watercolour paper I stamped several of the flowe

Lindy’s Stamp Gang February Color Challenge

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you my take on the Lindy’s Stamp Gang February Color Challenge Mood Board. This is what this month’s colours look like: Don’t these colours call for a fun Spring card? So, let’s get started! Step 1: I started my project by stamping the Garden Girl Sweetpea by Stampingbella onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossing afterwards using Lindy’s Stamp Gang "Clearly Clear" Embossing Pow

Art Journal Page: Happiness is ...

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you my take on the Canvas Corp Brands Summer Challenge that has recently been published: all crew members (the Canvas Corp Design Team) were sent a Canvas Corp canvas item, in my case a “Little Flat Tote“ (size 6x6 inch), and the challenge is to “use it EITHER in a project you often do - a layout, a card or a art journal spread for example OR use the item you were sent as it is“. Since I love to create art journal pages I decided to u

I’m working in my Winsor & Newton Heavy Weight Wire-O Sketch Book. -------------------------------- The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. Male Mixed Media Cards

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you a couple of cards suitable for the men in your life and for any occasion (birthday, retirement, vacation, new job, whatever you can think of). I love all the fun layers on these cards and I will show you step by step how you can make them. Most of the colours on today’s project are from the beautiful Lindy’s Stamp Gang “Magical Shaker“ line. The shimmer in these Magical Shaker powdered dyes is awesome, it gives a lot of depth to the

    Rainbows & Unicorns

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you my take on this month’s Special Extra Lindy’s Stamp Gang Challenge. The theme is Rainbows & Unicorns and the challenge is to create any project using Lindy's products and a Rainbow of Colors (brights/pastels) OR Unicorns (or Unicorn colors). I couldn’t choose so I combined both but I didn’t wanted my project to be too busy: that’s is why I decided on using the silhouette of a unicorn on a colourful background! So, let’s get started! Step 1:

    CraftAddiction Guest Design Project

Hi everyone, I’m very excited to show you today’s project: not only because I love how this mixed media canvas turned out (I don’t create canvasses very often, not because I don’t like to create them but just because I don’t know what to do with them when they are ready, there is only so much room in my house, this particular canvas I created for my new bathroom), but also because this project is a guest design project I created for CraftAddiction for their June Mood Board Ch

    Art Journal Page: Unicorn

Hi everyone, today I’m on The Crafter’s Workshop blog with an art journal page. The base for this page was created with a Gel Press mono printing plate and I really enjoyed having a set of beautiful designs ready as my inspiration to start my project with (so if you don’t like starting with a blank art journal page then this is something for you!). -------------------------------- The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. Mini CCB Creative Crew Canvas

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you guys the mini canvas that I created for the introduction of the Creative Crew (the Design Team) of Canvas Corp Brands (CCB). Canvas Corp Brands is the owner of Canvas Corp, 7Gypsies and Tattered Angels. I had a lot of fun creating this little project! Step 1: Each Creative Crew Member is designing a 10 cm (4 inch) mini canvas: it should reflect your personal craft style. I love creating projects with layers and lots of colour so that’s what

    Venetian Carnival Mask

Hi everyone, today I’m on The Crafter’s Workshop blog with a bit of a different project then usual. For today’s project I was inspired by the masks that people wear during the Venice Carnival each year. I somehow find the renaissance costumes and beautiful masks quite fascinating (you can do a Google search if you would like to know what I’m talking about). This year carnival in Venice (Italy) is between the 27th of January and the 13th of February. --------------------------
