    LOTV Boy Birthday Card

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you this cute boy birthday card. I always find it harder to create cards for boys/men then for girls/women, but I also feel that by steering away from the flowers and bling section of my craft room it usually ends well! So, to get today’s card started I stamped the image from the Lili of the Valley stamp set called “Little Folk - Just Chilling“ onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and clear heat

Hi everyone, today I have an adorable hand coloured card for you featuring a StampingBella stamp. Isn’t she cute? I pretty much love all the Garden Girls from StampingBella but this one is my absolute favourite (until now, because now and then there come out new ones)! I started my card by stamping the image from the “Tiny Townie Garden Girl Rose“ stamp onto some Strathmore “Bristol Smooth Surface“ paper using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and clear heat embossing afterwards (as

    Postcard Pal

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you guys this quick card using the adorable Stampin‘Up “Postcard Pals“ stamp set. When it’s not my day (you probably have them too!) then I like to colour with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, because they are effortless in creating a fun and quick result! I started my card by stamping this cute animal image onto Strathmore Bristol “Smooth Surface“ paper using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and clear heat embossing afterwards. Then I

    New Home

Hi everyone, today I have a fun and bright card for you all that I found on my computer but have never published! I created this card for when my sister in law and her daughter were moving house a while ago. I started this card by choosing my card base: I used a rectangle crème coloured card base because that colour is closest to the Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper that I will use later on. Next I decided on the sizes of the mats that I wanted to use on this card: I

On this panel I stamped the dots from the Spelbinders “Shake it Up“ stamp and die set, using Archi

Hi everyone, today I’m on The Crafter’s Workshop blog with these fun, shiny and summery cards. The background looks amazing and it’s really easy to make! -------------------------------- The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own. This post also contains affiliate links. -------------------------------- To get these cards started I die cut a square panel, in the size that I wanted, from some white card s

    New Beginnings!

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you my take on the May Challenge for “Het SU-per Team“ (this is a Dutch Facebook challenge group managed by a team of Stampin‘Up demonstrators, so you have to use at least one Stampin‘Up item on your project). This month’s challenge is a particular card design that you have to create, it looks like a staircase. So, I started my card with a sheet of sturdy kraft card stock from which I cut and folded the card design as shown in the challenge spec

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you my take on the CraftAddiction April Challenge mood board. CraftAddiction is a Dutch craft supply store and they are sponsoring a monthly challenge on Facebook. This is what this month’s mood board looks like: The mood board made me think about “heart“ and “home“, “your own special place“, and that’s what I wanted to incorporate in my art journal page for today. I’m working in my 13 x 21 cm Art Plus Moleskine Sketchbook (I keep an empty page

    Sweet Baby Cards

Hi everyone, for today’s post I created a set of cards using the ubercute Kennedy Grace Creations “Sweet Baby Mine” stamp set. These cards can be gifted, one to congratulate someone when they found out that they are (finally) pregnant and one when the baby is born, or, in my case, one card is for the parents-to-be and one is for the grandmother-to-be. When people find out that they are pregnant they usually don’t tell everyone if it will be a boy or a girl (or maybe they don’

A Christmas card for the men in your life

As mentioned in my "Summary of Christmas cards for 2016"-post from yesterday (http://www.makeyourlifecolourful.com/single-post/2016/12/17/Summary-of-Christmas-cards-for-2016) I would do a guy appropriate Christmas card - post. There is not to much bling on this card but you can debate if a guy might like this sort of image. I personally love the LOTV stamps for men. In this card I used the "Festive Lantern" one. Frankly, I LOVE a lot of the LOTV stamps. You should really chec
