Hi everyone, today I have a couple of cute birthday cards for you all!
It’s Lili of the Valley’s 13th Birthday (http://www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/) and I thought I would sent them a card since I love their stamps.
To start this first card I stamped three of the images from the L.O.T.V. stamps sets called “Birthday - Trio” and “Tea for Two - Trio” on some Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper with Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder afterwards.
Next I started colouring the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and my Pentel Aquabrush. I used the following colours:
Light Violet and Purple, Turquoise Green and Persian Green, Light Brown and Brown, Pale Dawn Gray and Haze Blue.

After the images were dry I die cut them with one of the dies in the My Favorite Things “Stitched Circle STAX” die set and edged the image that should become the middle one with a little Distress Ink in the colour “Frayed Burlap”.
Then it’s time to start working on the background. I die cut a piece of Crafter’s Companian “Neenah Desert Storm” card stock with one of the dies in the stitched rectangle Crea-Nest-Lies XXL die set.
I love the “Handwritten Phrases” stamp set from L.O.T.V. so I wanted to use that on this card as well: with my scissors I cut off the “You”-part from the sentiment I choose and stamped the rest with my MISTI and the same black ink I used before. Then I added “L.O.T.V.” with one of my clear alphabet stamp sets (bought on Etsy) to finish the sentence. Because I felt the background was a little empty I also stamped the background stamp from the Viva Decor “Peacock Feathers” stamp set on the upper part of the panel with the same brown Distress ink as used before.

Next I created a slightly larger die cut rectangle panel from some matching purple/aubergine coloured card stock (actually I used a colour sample paint swatch card from our local hard ware store!) for my matte and glued both panels together with liquid glue. Then I adhered both panels to a white linen textured card base with one millimetre thick foam tape.
And to finish this first card I lay out the circles the way I wanted them, first adhered the middle circle with two millimetre thick foam tape and then the other two with one millimetre thick foam tape, sliding them under the middle circle.
I wish L.O.T.V. lots of creativity in the coming year!

Today’s second card is for a little girls’ birthday, her name is Rinske, so I added that to the sentiment in the same way I did with the first card.
For this card I used the following colours of the Zig Markers:
Lemon Yellow and Yellow, Pale Green and Light Green, Light Pink and Pink, Pale Dawn Gray and Light Blue. I created a matching rectangle matte from some bright pink card stock. The rest of the process is the same as mentioned above with the first card.

And that finishes both cards for today! I hope you enjoyed.
