Hi everyone, today I have a set of fun cards for you using stamping and heat embossing on vellum.
I started my first card by die cutting a stitched square with one of my Crea-Nest-Lies XXL dies from some Crafter’s Companion Watercolour Card. Then I used a Kite Stencil called “Gum Wapper Weav” and a foam applicator tool with Memento’s “Lulu Lavender” and Distress Ink “Dusty Concord” to create an ombre effect. I spritzed with some water to create a little bit of a distressed look and dried the panel. Next step is to splatter some FineTec Pearlcolor in “Moon Gold” onto this panel and then I set it aside to dry on it’s own.
For the vellum overlay piece I stamped the Creative Expressions stamp called “Eastern Star” onto some vellum with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger “Liquid Platinum” embossing powder followed by die cutting a stitched circle around the star with one of the My Favorite Things “Stitched Circle STAX” dies.
To create the sentiment I stamped one of the sentiments from the Whimsy Stamps “Friendly Flowers” stamp set onto some black card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossing with WOW! “Opaque Bright White” embossing powder. Next I die cut the sentiment with the largest banner from the Lawn Fawn “Everyday Sentiment Banners” die set.

To put this card together I die cut a larger square from dark kraft card stock and adhered this to the watercolour square with liquid glue and then foam mounted both squares to a white linen textured card base with one millimetre thick foam tape. I adhered the vellum circle with some see through tape runner and also adhered the banner this way and cut of the piece overhanging on the left side of the card.
To finish this card I adhered some matching sequins in different sizes to the card with Ranger Medium matte.

For the second card I proceeded the same way but I used different colours and a slightly different lay out. For my blue inks I used Memento’s “Summer Sky” and Distress Ink in the colour “Blueprint Sketch”. I used WOW! “Metallic Silver” as my embossing powder on the vellum overlay, FineTec “Sterling Silver” pearlcolor splattering and Pretty Pink Posh “Sparkling Clear Sequins” and Cartwright’s Sequins in the colour “Satin Silver” as my finishing touches. The mat for this card is made out of some slightly shimmery dark silver linen textured card stock. I lined the circle and the banner up on the right side of the card.

And that finishes both cards for today! I hope you enjoyed and I wish you all a creative day!
