Hi everyone! Today I have what are probably the easiest cards ever created (by me)!
And since the summer holidays are coming up they are very suitable also.
To get my first card started I die cut a piece of black chalk paper with one of my rectangle stitched Crea-Nest-Lies XXL dies in the size I want. Then I stamped the globe image from the Viva Decor stamp set called “Travel” on it with Distress Oxide ink in the colour “Faded Jeans”. I also stamped the word “travel” from this stamp set with Distress Oxide ink in the colour “Peeled Paint”.
I put this card together by die cutting a slightly larger rectangle, using a different Crea-Nest-Lies XXL die set, from some matching light blue card stock, glueing the black and the blue piece together with liquid glue and adhering both combined panels to a dark blue card base.
As my finishing touch I used a wooden element in the shape of an aeroplane. And that finished today’s first card.
For my second card I stamped the globe on the same black chalk paper but with Distress Oxide ink in the colour “Fossilized Amber”. Next I stamped one of the sentiments from the Wild Rose Studio stamp set called “Birthday Greetings” onto some vellum. I also stamped an image of a hot air balloon (no name brand from my local craft store) next to the sentiment. For the stamping I used Memento’s “Tuxedo Black” ink and I dried the ink with my heat tool (because ink on vellum takes a long time to dry on its own). From the vellum I cut a strip and I die cut part of the strip with the Lil’Inker Designs Cover Up Die called “Diamond Lace”.
Next I folded the vellum strip around the black base panel and adhered it to the back with regular tape. To finish this second card I die cut a piece of matte gold card stock with a slightly bigger rectangle die, glued both pieces together and adhered these combined panels to a dark crème card base that matches the Distress Oxide ink I used nicely.
And that’s it for today!
I wish everybody lots of fun during their vacations and otherwise a very creative day! I have no craft supplies with me on my holiday this year (not enough room in the car with three people, big tent, back packs and other stuff) and I’m wondering if you guys take craft supplies with you on vacation and if you do, what do you take with you?
