Christmas Sprite

Hi everyone, I hope that everybody is save and when you're able to read this that I can bring you some distraction from the bad weather conditions!

Today I have another Christmas card for you all. I’m using a digital stamp from Aurora Wings and this one is called “Christmas Lights Sprite“. I printed this image, fairly large, on Clairefontaine Digital Colour Printing (DCP) paper (190 grms). After printing the image I die cut around him using one of the stitched dies in my Crea-Nest-Lies XXL die set.

Then I started colouring the image with my Copic Sketch Markers: I used the following colours: R43, R29, R89, E000, R00, E11, Y000, Y11, Y04, Y19, G40, G12, G16, E13, E57, E59, B0000, B01, B24, Y26, C00, N1, N2, N3, R0000, W00 and W1. I also used a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen to bring back in some of the details and make the white parts of his cloths look extra fluffy!

Since the image is fairly large I didn’t have much room on the card to do much else so I decided to die cut a larger panel from some darker craft card stock and using a background stamp on that panel (creating the look of patterned paper and giving the background most interest). For this I used a Joy Crafts background stamp with number 6410/0301 (it has a nice swirly design) with Versafine “Vintage Sepia “ ink. I wrapped some red/white backers twine around that panel adhering it to the back using regular tape. Then I adhered the coloured image on top using two millimetre thick foam tape.

Next I started working on my sentiment: I choose one of the sentiments from the Clearly Besotted “Say What?“ stamp set and stamped that onto some matching green card stock. I die cut a banner from that card stock using the smallest die in the Crealies Double Fun nr. 1 die set, and edging this banner with Distress Ink in the colour “Evergreen Bough“. I adhered the banner to the card with Ranger Medium Matte and two millimetre thick foam tape, wrapping it around the back and adhering it there with regular tape.

Then it’s time to put this card together and to do that I adhered the combined panels to a white card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and I finished this card by adhering some metallic red sequins in different spots with Ranger Medium Matte.

And that’s it for today’s card, isn’t this the cutest Christmas image ever?
