Hello Color Doodle Card

Stampin'Up Hello Color

Hi everyone, today I have a fun doodle card for you all. Did I draw these doodles myself? Nope, it’s a stamp! I was crafting at my friends house a while back and she had this Stampin‘Up stamp set called “Hello Color”, so I started colouring this image that night but wasn’t able to finish it, but since I brought my own coloured pencils I finished it at home.

To get this card started I stamped the image on some Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and my MISTI. Then I coloured the image using my Faber Castell Polychromos in the colours 123, 155 and 137 and also using a white Caran d ‘Ache Luminance pencil. By keeping the number of colours that I used to a limit I created a harmonious project.

After the colouring was done I cut around the image using one of the stitched rectangle nesting dies in the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL rectangle stitched die set.

I also die cut a slightly bigger mat from some matching pink card stock using a regular rectangle nesting die set in the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL die set line.

These mats I adhered together using liquid glue.

Then I worked on the sentiment: I didn’t wanted to cover up too much of the doodles so I choose a small sentiment from the Kennedy Grace Creations “Grace’s Little Note“ stamp set. I stamped that onto some black card stock using VersaMark ink and I heat embossed with Ranger "White Super Fine Detail" embossing powder. I cut a banner from the sentiment using the middle sized banner from the Lawn Fawn “Everyday Sentiment Banners “ die set and also using the biggest die in this set to cut a banner from some vellum. These banners I adhered together using see through tape runner and adhering them to the coloured panel using one millimetre thick foam tape. I folded the banner to the back on the right hand side and adhered to the back using regular tape.

And then it’s already time to put this card together: I adhered the combined panels with the banners to a white card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and finished this card with some Pretty Pink Posh “Sparkling Clear“ sequins in different sizes, adhering them with Ranger Medium Matte.

And that’s it for today’s card. I wish you a creative day!
