Hi everyone, today I would like to show you a set of ATC’s featuring Power Poppy stamps. ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards) are the size of a sport collectable card (6,4 x 8,9 cm).
I started this project by measuring 6 x 8,5 cm twice onto Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper and cutting the panels using a craft knife and a ruler.
On each of these panels I stamped one of the sentiments from the Power Poppy “Planning for Magnolia’s“ stamp set using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink. Next I also stamped one of the images from the Power Poppy “Sweet Memories“ stamp set on each panel with the same ink. For the stamping I used my MISTI so that I’m able to make the lines as crisp and black as I like them.
When the stamping was done I started colouring the images with my Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils and the white pencil from the Caran d‘Ache Luminance line. From the Polychromos line I used the pencils with the numbers 123, 140, 112 and 250.
Since the Strathmore paper I used is fairly thin I next created the background panel for the coloured images to sit on. These panels I cut in the size 6,4 x 8,9 cm and I used slightly shimmery white card stock for the blue sweet pea and slightly shimmery light gold card stock for the pink sweet pea. I also edged the Strathmore panels with Versafine “Vintage Sepia“ ink, the background panel for the blue sweet pea with Archival ink in the colour “Cobalt“ and the background panel for the pink sweet pea with Archival ink in the colour “Plum“. On the back of the ATC’s I added my name, date and number of the series.
Then I put the ATC’s together: I adhered the panels together using one millimetre thick foam tape. And for my finishing touch I splattered with some Coliro Pearl Colors from Finetec GmbH. For the blue sweet pea ATC I used the pearl colour in “Moss Green“ and for the pink sweet pea ATC I used the pearl colour in “Mint”. I really love how these ATC’s turned out: gorgeous flowers with a hint of mixed media!
And that finishes today’s project!
I wish you'll a creative day!
