Hi everyone, today I have another hand coloured set of Christmas cards for you all. Today’s project is featuring the beautiful Power Poppy “Hollyberries“ digital stamp set. I first printed this beautiful design, together with one of the sentiments that also comes in the same stamp set, onto some Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper twice and then die cut around it using one of the dies in the stitched rectangle Crea-Nest-Lies XXL die set.
I coloured one traditional holly card and one non-traditional one.
For the first, more traditional one, I used the following colours: Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils with the numbers: 166, 276, 126, 225 and 250 and also the white Caran d‘Ache Luminance pencil.
For the non-traditional card I used the colours: Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils with the numbers: 137, 155, 250; Holbein Artist’s coloured pencils with the numbers: OP430 and OP228 (both from the Pastel Tone Set that you can buy on Ebay) and the same white Caran d‘Ache pencil.
When the colouring was done I went over some of the lines, that I lost a little during the colouring process, with a black Copic Multiliner (0.1).
For my mat I choose a dark red linen textured panel for the red/green card and a dark turquoise linen textured panel for the purple/turquoise card, slightly larger then the stitched panels and die cut with the regular rectangle Crea-Nest-Lies XXL die set. For my card base I choose a crème coloured one, and as usual linen textured.
I adhered the coloured panels onto their mats using liquid glue, but instead of straight I turned them a little to create a more interesting background. These combined panels I adhered to the card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and for my finishing touch I choose some sequins from Cartwright’s Sequins in the colours “Satin Gold“ for the purple/turquoise card and “Satin Silver“ for the red/green card, those I adhered with Ranger Medium Matte.
And that’s it for today’s project, I wish you all a creative day!
