Hi everyone, today I’m showing you guys the mini canvas that I created for the introduction of the Creative Crew (the Design Team) of Canvas Corp Brands (CCB). Canvas Corp Brands is the owner of Canvas Corp, 7Gypsies and Tattered Angels. I had a lot of fun creating this little project!

Step 1:
Each Creative Crew Member is designing a 10 cm (4 inch) mini canvas: it should reflect your personal craft style. I love creating projects with layers and lots of colour so that’s what I was going for. The Canvas Corp canvasses are not primed when you receive them. Here you can see a picture of how they look when you receive them.

Step 2:
What I did first is applying one layer of The Crafter’s Workshop “Clear Gesso“ to prime the canvas but still keep the texture off the natural look of this canvas visible. After drying I applied The Crafter’s Workshop “(White) Modeling Paste“ through a The Crafter’s Workshop stencil called “Mini Quatrefoil Reversed“ using a palette knife, also minding the sides of the canvas.
When the modeling paste had dried I added first the beautiful Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in the colour “Kiwi“ and then, after drying the colour “Caper Green”. I applied the first mist with a brush and added water from a spray bottle, making the colour run and drying with my Ranger Heat It tool when I liked the result. Then I added the second colour.

For my decorations I choose some Wild Orchid Crafts “Tuscany Roses“ and “Tuscany Rosebuds“ (these are white when you receive them). I added the gorgeous Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in the colour “Black Cherry “ on some flowers and “Amethyst“ on others. I added the colour to the flowers with a brush and sprayed some water to make the colour run and then heat dried them.
What I love about these Glimmer Mists is that the colours are vibrant with only one layer and that they work great with water!
I also prepared my title: for this I choose a Wycinanka chipboard. I put some Versamark on the chipboard and added Stampendous “Pearl Champagne“ embossing powder and then I melted the powder with my heat tool. This I did twice.

Step 3:
Now that I prepared all the separate elements I worked on the canvas a little more: I wrapped some Canvas Corp “Jute Cord“ around the canvas and knotted at the back and adhered the title and the flowers to the canvas using The Crafter’s Workshop “Matte Gel Medium“.
Then I splattered with some Coliro Pearl Colors by Finetec GmbH in the colour “Tibet Gold“ and let that dry.

And to finish my project I adhered some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in the colour “Sparkling Clear“ in different sizes using Ranger “Glossy Accents“ and I edged the canvas with a foam applicator tool, first using Archival Ink in the colour “Coffee“ and then a little “Jet Black“.

That’s it for today’s mini canvas project! I wish you a creative day!
