Colour Crazy Guest Designer - Float Away

Winnie Starfish Sandcastle - Float Away

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you my last project as a guest designer for the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog. If you don’t know what a challenge blog is then definitely go and check it out!

I started my card by printing this beautiful digital stamp from Polkadoodles called “Winnie Starfish Sandcastle - Float Away“ onto some Copic friendly paper. Next I die cut around the image using one of the dies in my stitched rectangle nesting die set.

Then I coloured the image using my Copic Sketch Markers. Since I’m longing for summer I used the following bright colour combinations: E000, R00, R01, E11, E31, YR30, E57, E89, Y11, Y08, Y19, RV52, RV06, RV19, YG17, YG67, B91, B95, B24, B37, B99, C4, C7, BG70. When the colouring was done I added back in some of the details using a white Gelly Roll Pen and a black Copic MultiLiner.

The rest of the card is pretty easy: I stamped a sentiment from a stamp set from my local craft store (of course you can use any sentiment you like) using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and my MISTI and then I adhered this coloured panel onto a slightly larger die cut rectangle mat in a matching blue colour.

These two panels I adhered together using liquid glue and I adhered the combined mats to a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

To finish this card I added some Lucy’s Cards “Jewels - Ice Cube Mix“ in different sizes to the project using Ranger Glossy Accents and I also added Glossy Accents to the sunglasses the girl is wearing.

And that’s it for today’s project! I’m ready for summer and this fun Float Away Girl surely is too!

Thank you Ruth for having me as a guest designer in the past three months, I loved creating for your challenge blog!

I’m wishing you’ll a creative day!
