Modeling Paste embellishments using TCW and Lindy’s

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you this fun card that I created as my inspiration for the Lindy’s Stamp Gang June Challenge. This month’s mood board looks like this:

Let's get started with my project: today I choose to make a card!

Step 1:

I started my project by die cutting my smallest panel using one die from a stitched nesting die set. Then I first stamped the sentiment on this panel using Archival Ink in the colour “Jet Black“ (because it’s waterproof). For this I used the Happy Birthday stamp from the Clearly Besotted stamp set called “Beautiful Friend“. Then I stamped very lightly with part of the Darkroom Door background stamp called “French Script“.

Step 2:

Next I applied some The Crafter’s Workshop Metallic “White Pearl Modeling Paste“ over a The Crafter’s Workshop stencil called “Circle of Jewels“ (TCW757s) using a palette knife and set that aside to dry.

Step 3:

When the modeling paste has dried I’m able to ad colour to my base panel: I applied some Lindy’s Stamp Gang Flat Fabio Spray in the colour “Aloha Avocado“ to the panel using a brush and sprayed with water to make the colour run and I dried the panel when I liked the results. This I did several times.

When I created the background to my liking I flattened the panel in a book and after a while took it out and splattered on the panel using Coliro Pearl Colors by Finetec GmbH in the colour “Chocolate“.

Step 4:

Now I’m going to work on my card embellishments that I’m going to create myself. I first worked on the roses: for this I mixed some Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical in the colour “Cuckoo Clock Cardinal“ with some The Crafter’s Workshop “Clear Modeling Paste“ and applied this mixture over a The Crafter’s Workshop stencil called “Big Wreath“ (only the flower part) (TCW721 large) and mixing it on the stencil with some The Crafter’s Workshop Metallic “Champagne Gold Modeling Paste“ to ad more depth and dimension to my flowers.

I created each flower on a separate piece of paper and then set them aside to dry.

The same procedure I repeated with the leaves for which I mixed the clear modeling paste with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical in the colour “Greased Lightnin‘ Green“ and applied this over a The Crafter’s Workshop stencil called “Aloha“ (TCW740s) using a palette knife.

When all the embellishments had dried I fussy cut them out using my Fiskars scissors.

Step 5:

The only thing I have to do now is to die cut a slightly larger square panel from some matching red card stock. Adhere both panels together using liquid glue. Then I adhered those combined panels to my crème coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and I adhered the flowers and leaves on top also using liquid glue. I love how this card turned out!

And that’s it for today’s fun card project!
