Hi everyone, today I’m showing you the guest design project that I created for Crealies. Crealies is a Dutch company with awesome dies and stamps in all kinds of different designs. And Annelies, the owner of Crealies, also ships outside the Netherlands, so go and check them out.
I choose to create a fun flowery card with hand coloured pink flowers, inspired by morning glory colours that I found on line. So, let’s get started!

Step 1:
I choose to work on a crème coloured linen textured card base. Then I die cut a fun shaped panel with one of the largest dies from the new Crealies “Crea-Nest-Lies XXL die set with number 77“ (CLNestXXL77) from some Strathmore “Toned Tan“ paper.
On this panel I stamped several times with the gorgeous Crealies “Mounted Rubber Stampzz: Morning Glory“ (CLRS05) stamp, starting with the flower that I will die cut around later, making sure there is enough room around the flower to ad two die cut shapes from the same die set. For stamping I used Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and my MISTI stamping tool.
Then I started colouring the image: I start with white to ad highlights and for this I use my Caran d‘Ache Luminance coloured pencil in “White“.

Step 2:
I coloured all the flowers and a shadow line around them using my Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils in numbers 119, 123, 171, 112, 165, 102, 108 and 250; in combination with the “White“ Caran d ‘Ache pencil that I mentioned before.

Step 3:
Next I created the rounded edges on my crème coloured linen textured card base by first drawing in the curve with a pencil and then cutting the rounded shape with my scissors to match my top card panel.
Then I die cut around the stamped flower using one of the smaller dies from the XXL nr. 77 set that I used before but then the other way around (so that the rounded shaped is on the other side) to create a fun playful effect. And I die cut a slightly larger mat for this from the same crème coloured card stock as my card base with another die from this die set.
I also stamped my sentiment on a piece of crème coloured card stock using one of the stamps from the Crealies “Tekst & Zo Stempels with number CLTZJ17“ stamp set, which reads Happy Birthday in Dutch, and then I die cut a banner from that using one of the dies in the Crealies “Double Fun nr. 8“ die set.

Step 4:
Now I can put my card together: I adhered my banner to the flower panel using liquid glue, folding it around the back on the right hand side and adhering it on the back using regular tape. Then I adhered the flower panel to my card base using one millimetre thick foam tape. On top I adhered the two smaller panels (adhered together using liquid glue) using two millimetre thick foam tape.
All I have to do now is to adhere some Pretty Pink Posh “Sparkling Clear Sequins“ in different sizes on my card using Ranger Medium Matte to finish my card!
