Hi everyone, today I have for you my second project as a guest designer for Graciellie Design. This card was created with one of the two new digital stamp designs that were published for the August release. This particular stamp set is called “Dream On“!
So, let’s get started!
I first printed the feather image from this set in two different sizes on some Copic friendly paper, so that I have two of the same smaller size and one of the slightly larger size. Next I coloured the feathers using the following colours of Copic markers: YG06, YG97, B28, N6 and N10. Then I fussy cut each feather leaving a small white border.
For my base I choose a white linen textured rectangle shaped card base. I die cut a slightly smaller rectangle panel from the same card stock to work on. And to create the suggestion of a dream catcher shape I die cut part of the “Mandala Die“ by Altenew from some matching dark olive green card stock.
I adhered the mandala to the white linen textured rectangle panel, using liquid glue, slightly off set from the middle to create a more interesting design to look at, and then I cut of all excess using scissors. Next I adhered the feathers that I created earlier on to the panel also using liquid glue. When dry I cut of the excess from the most right hand feather.
From one of the sentiments from this same digital stamp set I die cut a banner using the “Long Flag Die“ by Clearly Besotted and adhered it to the panel using liquid glue, tucking it under the feathers and folding it to the back on the left hand side.
To ad to the dream catcher design I took some gold thread and a needle and created connections between the feathers and the mandala/dream catcher shape.
And to finish this fun card I adhered this rectangle panel to my card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.
