Hi everyone, today I’m showing you my take on the Lindy’s Stamp Gang August Challenge Moodboard. I love colour, lots, and as bright as possible, so pastels are not my strong point, but I wanted to try nonetheless and I really love the way this card project turned out in the end!
This is what this month’s colour palette looks like:
So, let’s get started!

Step 1:
I started my project by stamping one of the flower images and several of the leaf images from the Simon Says Stamp stamp set called “Even More Spring Flowers“ several times onto Strathmore “Bristol Smooth Surface“ paper using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and clear heat embossing afterwards. I did the same with a butterfly stamp from a no name brand that fitted the design of the flowers.
Next I coloured the images using Lindy’s Stamp Gang Sprays. For this I sprayed some of the colour on my glass work surface and applied the colour in several layers onto the images using a small brush. I waited for the layers to dry in between. I used the colours: “Pink Ladies Pink“, “Mad Hatter Mint“ and “French Lilac Violet“.
When the colours had dried I added back in some highlights to the leafs using a white Gelly Roll Pen and I also added some silver highlights to the hearts of the flowers using a silver Edding Gel Roller pen. After that dried I fussy cut all the images, using my Fiskars scissors, leaving a small white border.

Step 2:
From some Canson watercolour card stock I die cut my sentiment using the My Favorite Things “Happy Birthday Circle Frame“ die and this die cut I coloured with a brush using the same LSG Spray in “Mad Hatter Mint“ that I used before. To give the die cut a little bit of extra shine and dimension I then applied some Ranger “Emboss It Dabber“ on top of the dry, and now green coloured, die cut and sprinkled on some Lindy’s Stamp Gang “Orbit Olive Gold“ embossing powder and heat embossed. This I did twice, which makes the die cut looks more dimensional then one layer. I put the green spray colour on first because then it would match the colour of my project better and it would stand out more against the blue background later on.

Step 3:
Next I die cut a square panel from the same watercolour paper that I used before. Then I applied some The Crafter’s Workshop (white) “Modeling Paste“ over a The Crafter’s Workhsop new stencil design called “Jasmine Spray“ (TCW822s) using a palette knife and set that aside to dry.
When the modeling paste was dry I applied some Lindy’s Stamp Gang Spray in “Azure Sea Asters“ over the panel, using a brush, and spraying with water to make the colour run. I dried the panel when I liked the result. This I did about three times and also splattered with the same colour on the dried panel.
This blue colour is one of my favourite blues from the LSG range!
To create a bit more depth in my background panel I decided to ad more splatters with Coliro Pearl Colors by Finetec GmbH in the colour “Silver Grey“ and let that dry.

Step 4:
Now I’m ready to start putting my project together. I choose a crème coloured linen textured card base and I die cut a slightly smaller square panel from some matching pink card stock. The blue and the pink panel I adhered together using liquid glue. Then I wrapped around some pink/white bakers-twine to give the flowers and leafs some ground. I adhered the twine on the back using regular tape and then I adhered these combined panels to my card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

Step 5:
Now that my base is ready I can arrange the sentiment, the flowers and the leafs on my project and adhere them using liquid glue, one and two millimetre foam tape. And all I have to do now to finish my project is to adhere some Pretty Pink Posh “Sparkling Clear Sequins“ in different sizes on the project using “Ranger Medium Matte“.

And that’s it for today’s card, I hope you enjoyed and I wish you a creative day!
