Hi everyone, today I would like to show you my second guest design project for the month of September for Graciellie Design. This month’s release is totally suitable to create some fabulous Christmas cards! Today I’m showing you one idea. Let’s get started!

Step 1:
I started my card project by printing several of the leaf branches from the new “Keep Growing“ digital stamp set and the poinsettia flower image and also one of the sentiments from the new “A Christmas Hello“ digital stamp set onto Copic friendly paper. Then I coloured all the images using my Copic Markers.
I used the following Copic marker colours: R22, R24, R29, R89, G40, YG17, YG67, BG75 and Y19. When the colouring was done I added back in some highlights using a white Gelly Roll pen.
Then I fussy cut all the images using my Fiskars scissors and I die cut around the sentiment using one of the dies in the Lawn Fawn “Everyday Sentiment Banners“ die set.

Step 2:
For my background I decided to create a silver/gold design with a stencil and metallic modeling paste. First I die cut a stitched rectangle panel in the size that I wanted. I decided to use a The Crafter’s Workshop stencil called “Holly Background“ (TCW718s) and taped that over the panel using removable tape. Then I applied “Platinum“ and “Champagne Gold“ modeling paste by The Crafter’s Workshop over the stencil, using a palette knife, and then set the panel aside to dry.

Step 3:
Now I’m ready to put my card together. I die cut a slightly larger deep red panel as my mat for the holly background. These two rectangle panels I adhered together using liquid glue. I also created a mat for my sentiment from some matching dark green card stock and I adhered the two banners together using liquid glue.
Then I decided on my lay out and adhered the leaf branches and the poinsettia flower on top of the combined rectangle panels using one millimetre thick foam tape and liquid glue and then adhered the sentiment on top, wrapping it around the back on the left hand side, adhering on the back of the panels using regular tape.
Now all I have to do is to adhere this combination to a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and adhere some Cartwright’s Sequins in “Satin Gold“ in different sizes, using Ranger Medium Matte to finish my card.

That’s it for today’s fun card Christmas card project! I wish you a creative day!
