Power Poppy and Molotow combined Christmas card

Molotow Aqua Twin Markers

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you guys this fun, quick and easy Christmas card for which I combined a gorgeous Power Poppy stamp set with some Molotow Aqua Twin markers.

To get my project started I stamped the largest image in the Power Poppy “Glistening Paperwhites“ stamp set onto some Strathmore “Bristol Smooth Surface“ paper, as well as the smaller leaf cluster (this one I stamped five times), using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and clear heat embossing afterwards.

Then I coloured the image using the following colours of Molotow Aqua Twin markers and an aquabrush: Pink, Purple, Primary Yellow, Yellow Green, Dark Green and Cyan.

When the colouring was done and dry I added back in some highlights using a white Gelly Roll Pen.

Next I fussy cut all the coloured images using my Fiskars scissors.

To create my background I die cut a rectangle panel in the size that I wanted from some matching light blue card stock. On this I created my lay out but I didn’t adhere the flower and leaf clusters yet!

I positioned the sentiment from the same stamp set where I wanted it to go (removed the flowers/leaves) and stamped the sentiment using the same black ink as before and my MISTI.

Now I’m ready to finish my project: I adhered the light blue panel to a slightly larger dusty rose panel using liquid glue and these combined panels I adhered to a crème coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape. On top of the blue panel I can now adhere the large flower section and the smaller leaf clusters. I adhered the larger flower section using one millimetre thick foam tape and then tucked the smaller leaf clusters underneath to create a fun dimensional look.

And that’s it for today’s fun Christmas card project!

I wish you a creative day!
