Hi everyone, today I would like to show you the card that I created for my stepson’s 16th birthday. Like many boys he loves gaming so I decided that this was the perfect image for him!
I started my card by printing this image from Mo Manning called “Computer Guy“ onto Canson 1557 paper and I die cut around the image using one of my rectangle stitched nesting dies. On the right hand side of this die cut panel I stamped one of the sentiments from the Kaisercraft “Background Birthday Sentiments“ stamp set using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink.
Then I coloured the image using my Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils. I used the following colours: 102, 185, 231, 232,132, 189, 187, 177, 151, 157 and 199.

Next I die cut a slightly larger panel from some craft coloured card stock using one of my regular rectangle nesting dies and I edged this panel using first Versafine “Toffee“ ink and then Archival Ink in the colour “Coffee“ to create a more defined edge.
I adhered the coloured image onto the craft coloured panel using liquid glue and then I adhered these combined panels onto a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.
And that’s it for today’s teenage boy birthday card project!
I wish you all a creative day!
