Hi everyone, today I would like to show you my latest project as a guest designer for Crealies (Crealies is a Dutch die and stamp company that also ships internationally).
For today’s project I choose to make a birthday card where I die cut several pieces from one stamped image to create a fun design. Let’s get started:

Step 1:
I started my project by stamping the Dahlia image (CLRS03)onto Copic friendly paper using Memento “Tuxedo Black” ink. Then I used one of the smaller dies in the Crea-Nest-Lies XXL nr 77 nesting die set to die cut three pieces from this one stamped image. I looked for parts that I found interesting.

Step 2:
Then I coloured the three separate pieces using my Copic markers and at the end adding highlights with a white Gelly Roll Pen. I used the following Copic colours: RV52, RV34, RV55, YR01, YR02, R32, R08, YG01, YG17, YG67, E49 and BG70. I adhered these coloured images to matching pink card stock, using liquid glue, and fussy cut around them leaving a small pink border.

Step 3:
Using my nesting die set Crea-Nest-Lies XXL nr 10 and nr 24 I die cut one mat from light craft coloured card stock and a slightly larger one from the same pink card stock that I used before. On the light craft coloured panel I stamped using the Bits & Pieces CLBP133 stamp in combination with Memento “Toffee Crunch” ink. Each time I stamped I altered my position a bit more to the right starting from the bottom.
On the same Copic friendly paper that I used before, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Tekst & Zo Stempels CLTZJ17 stamp set using the same black ink as before (the sentiment reads Congratulations in Dutch). Then I used the smaller die in the Duo Dies nr 16 die set to cut around the sentiment and I edged the sentiment panel with the same very light blue Copic colour that I also used around the flowers.

Step 4:
Now all I have to do is to put my card together:
I adhered the craft coloured panel to the pink mat using liquid glue. This combination I adhered to a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape. On top I adhered the flower images with their already adhered mats using one millimetre thick foam tape. Lastly I adhered the sentiment also using one millimetre thick foam tape and as my finishing touch I choose to ad some “Sparkling Clear Sequins” by Pretty Pink Posh using Ranger Medium Matte.

And that’s it for today’s birthday card project. I wish you a creative day!
