Hi everyone, today I’m showing you my take on the Lindy’s Stamp Gang Color Challenge Mood Board for the month of April. This month’s mood board contains lots of pastel colours and they inspired me to create a baby card!

Let’s get started!

Step 1:
I first stamped two of the baby onesies from the Clearly Besotted “Little Onesie” stamp set onto Strathmore “Bristol Smooth Surface” paper using Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and then I heat embossed using Lindy’s Stamp Gang “Clearly Clear” embossing powder. This way my stamped lines stay black and crisp.
Next I coloured both images with the newest Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Shakers in “Glittering Gold” and “Aged Copper” as well as Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical in “C’est la vie Cerise” and a small brush.
After the colouring was done and dry I fussy cut the images leaving a small border.

Step 2:
Now I’m working on my background panel: for this I die cut a square panel two sizes smaller then my card base from watercolour paper. Then I placed a The Crafter’s Workshop stencil called “Circle Tiles” (TCW853s) over the watercolour paper and I applied some The Crafter’s Workshop “Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste” over the stencil using a palette knife. Let this dry!
After drying I added some LSG Magical in “C’est la vie Cerise” onto the watercolour panel using a fan brush. Then I sprayed the panel with water which makes the colour run. When I liked what I had I dried the panel with my heat tool. This I repeated several times.
I also die cut a slightly larger square panel from some matching light peach card stock. These two square panels I adhered together using liquid glue.

Step 3:
To create a little fun extra element for my card I next die cut a square panel from some vellum and then I used one of the dies in the Whimsy Stamps “Envelope Edgers Die Set” to create a fun edge to this panel. On the panel I stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set that I used before. For this I used the same black ink as before and I heat embossed the sentiment with LSG Clearly Clear embossing powder (because ink on vellum doesn’t dry very easily).

Step 4:
Now I’m ready to put my card together: I adhered the two combined square panels to a crème coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape. Then I adhered the vellum panel with the sentiment on top using see through tape runner. And to finish this fun project I adhered the two little onesies on top using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that’s it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
