Lindy’s Stamp Gang May Color Challenge

Hi everyone, today I would like to show you guys my inspiration for the Lindy’s Stamp Gang May Color Challenge mood board. And since my favourite aunt is moving house I figured this would be a good moment to make a “New Home”-card.

This is what this month’s mood board looks like: isn’t this a fun combination of colours!!!

Step 1:

After adding some anti-static powder to the paper (blow of any excess) I stamped the sentiment and the image from the StampingBella stamp set called “Fairy Garden House” onto Strathmore “Bristol Smooth Surface” paper using Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and I heat embossed using Lindy’s Stamp Gang “Clearly Clear” embossing powder.

Step 2:

I die cut around the combined stamped sentiment/image using a nesting die two sizes smaller then my card base. Then I started colouring the image using some gorgeous Lindy’s products: I first used Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Shaker in “Magnolia Magenta Gold” for the flowers. I added some of the powder to my paint palette and then added water. Now I can pick up the paint with my small brush and paint the flowers in combination with water. I worked in several layers until the image is dark enough for my liking, drying with my heat tool in between each layer. Then I did the same with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical in “Urban Amethyst” for the roof top and the door.

Step 3:

This way I kept painting each part of the house image as well as around the house (using a very light pink hue). Next to the above mentioned colours I used: Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Shaker in “Antique Gold”, Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical in “Hi Maintenance Magenta” and Lindy’s Stamp Gang Spray in “Sea Grass Green”.

When the colouring was done I added back in some highlights using a white Gelly Roll Pen.

Step 4:

To finish my card I now only have to die cut a slightly larger panel from some matching purple mirror card stock. The two rectangle panels I adhered together using liquid glue. And this combination I adhered to a crème coloured linen textured card stock using one millimetre thick foam tape.

That’s it for today’s project, I wish you a creative day!
