Primrose & The Snowman

Hi everyone today I would like to show you this fun and quick Christmas card project for which I used my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers. I love how quick you can colour any image with them!

I first stamped the “Primrose & The Snowman” image by Crafty Sentiments Designs onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper using Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and I clear heat embossed afterwards. Then I die cut around the image using a rectangle die two sizes smaller then my card base (I stamped first and die cut later because this is a rubber stamp so it’s hard to see if the image is level). Then I added the sentiment (no name brand stamp set) also using black ink.

Now I just have to colour the image using my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers in combination with an aqua brush:

Skin: Peach, Spice and a tiny bit of Scarlet;

Coat: Fern for the turquoise and Tan for the white parts (with a very light hand);

Scarf and other purple parts: Heather and Wildflower;

Hair: Terracotta and Chocolate;

Snowman: Charcoal with a very light hand;

Hat and scarf snowman: Moss and Leaf Green;

Around the image (this brings the white parts of the snow up as well): Aquamarine;

Other colours: Orange and Black.

All of the colours used on today’s project are from the Spectrum Noir Aqua Marker Sets: Essentials, Primay, Floral and Botanicals.

When the colouring is done I add some highlights using a white Gelly Roll Pen.

And to finish my card I die cut a slightly larger rectangle panel from matching purple card stock, adhere both panels together using liquid glue and adhere this combination to a creme coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape!

And that’s it for today’s fun little project! I wish you a creative day!
