Joy

Hi everyone, today I would like to share another Christmas card project with you all!

I started my project by stamping the image from the Crafter’s Companion “Molly’s Joy” stamp set onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using a juicy black ink and heat embossing directly afterwards using a clear embossing powder.

Now I can colour the image and today I’m using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in the following colours (in combination with a water brush): Pale Pink, Oatmeal, Bright Yellow, Pale Dawn Gray, Geranium Red, Deep Red, Green, Marine Green, Mustard and Deep Brown. After the colouring is done and dry I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Time to work on my background: I die cut a square panel two sizes smaller than my card base and stamped my sentiment on top (this particular one is by Whimsy Stamps from “The Nutcracker” stamp set). Next I placed a (no name brand) stencil on my panel and used a stencil brush in combination with Spectrum Noir Water-Reactive Ink in “Frosty Jade” over the stencil to create a fun background design.

To finish the card I now only have to die cut a slightly larger square panel in a matching gold yellow colour, I adhered both square panels together using liquid glue and I adhered this combination onto a creme coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and than adhered the coloured and fussy cut image on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it for today’s Christmas card project! I wish you a creative day!
