Blush Christmas Card

Hi everyone, today I would like to share this fun Christmas card with you all. Sometimes I just don’t feel like creating the “standard” Christmas cards and figure out something different. Let’s get started!

I started my project by stamping this rose image by Penny Black called “Crimson Blush” onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using a juicy black ink and heat embossing directly afterwards using clear embossing powder.

Now I can colour the image and around the image using my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers. I used the colours: Orange, Gold, Tawny, Lake Blue and Forest. After the colouring is done and dry I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Next I die cut a rectangle panel two sizes smaller than my card base and stamped my sentiment of choice on the top left hand corner. This particular sentiment is from the Clearly Besotted “Say What?” stamp set. Now I can place my snowflake stencil over the panel and apply some Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium in “Champagne” over the stencil using a palette knife and let it dry.

Finishing the card is easy: I die cut a slightly larger rectangle panel from matching teal card stock and adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered onto my creme coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape. And to finish the card I now only have to adhere the coloured and fussy cut image on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it for today’s Christmas card project! I wish you a creative day!
