Bring on the Noise

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing this masculine card with you all.

In this blog post I’m not explaining how to create the sentiment wheel, there is a really good video where it is explained in detail (it’s in Dutch but you can see which items of the die set are used to create a similar project to the one that I create today). You can watch the video here:

To create the parts to put the sentiment wheel and the squire panels around it together I used the Crealies “Cardzz CLCZ303” Spinning Wheel Card die set ( https://www.crealies.nl/nl/product/cardzzclcz303 ). For my sentiments I picked stamps from the Crealies Text & Co Stamp Sets “CLWSEN02” and “CLWSEN04”. Design paper is from my stash, use whatever you have and like.

As my focal point for today’s card I’m using a digital image by Dr. Digi called “Bring the Noise”. I printed this image onto alcohol marker friendly paper.

Now I can start the colouring process and today I’m using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers that you can find here: https://www.crafterscompanion.eu/art-and-colouring/spectrum-noir/illustrator.html

For skin I used a combination of FS7, CR1, TN1 and TN2;

For hair I used a combination of GB1, GB5 and EB8;

For my reds I picked: FS5, CR9 and CR11;

For my blues I picked: TB3, TB5 and TB8;

For my greens I picked: AG2, DG4 and YG3;

For my cool greys I picked: IG5, IG8 and IG10;

For my warm greys I picked: BG1 and BG4;

And I used a SN Classique marker in GY05 to colour around the image.

After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the image.

Time to put my card together: I adhered the design paper and the sentiment wheel onto my craft coloured card base using liquid glue and one millimetre thick foam tape. And to finish the project I adhered the coloured and fussy cut image on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it, I wish you a creative day!
