Chocolate Gift Box

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing this fun chocolate gift box idea with you all. It’s a small token of appreciation or something different than a card to sent someone. Where I live these even go through the mail easily! The box fits 4 Merci chocolates, for those not living in Germany or the Netherlands, these are small pieces of chocolate, each wrapped, and they come in different tastes, and they say Merci (which means Thanks in French).

To get each box started I trace the Dutch Doobadoo “Shape Art Merci Scallop” box template (470.713.062) onto chocolate brown (using a white pencil) and olive green card stock and cut it out using my scissors and craft knife. You can best use a very sturdy card stock for this but it needs to be able to be folded as well.

From design paper you create the decorative pieces next, also using the same template, and those you can adhere on top of the previously created box. You can even create a square panel for the back to write your message. I edged the decorative panels for the brown box with Distress Ink in “Broken China” and for the other box I used Memento ink in “Potter’s Clay”.

I used the Joy Crafts “Selfadhesive Micro Quick Closures”, cut to a small piece using my scissors, for a open/closure. They are like very small pieces of selfadhesive velcro.

For one box I used the Coosa Crafts stamp sets Tickets 1 and Tickets 2 for additional decoration as well as my sentiment. And for the other box I used the Whimsy Stamps “Fanciful Birthday Notables 1” stamp set and Crafter’s Companion “Vintage Vines” die set to create some fun elements. I used dark brown ink for stamping (Spectrum Noir Alcohol Proof ink in “Rustic Brown”).

And that is it for today’s project, I wish you a creative day!
