Hi everyone, today I would like to share another fun colouring project with you all!

Step 1:
I printed this digital image by Whimsy Stamps called “Cupcake Treat” onto alcohol marker friendly paper and now the colouring process can begin. The image is fairly small so I decided I would colour with my Spectrum Noir original TriBlend markers.
For my browns I used the Gold Brown Blend marker and the Tan Shades marker.
For my blues I used the True Blue Blend marker.
For the greens I used the Light Green Blend marker.
Around the image I used the lightest colour in the Fair Skin Blend marker.
You can find all the markers that I used on today's project HERE!
After the colouring is done I added some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Step 2:
Now that my focal point is done I can focus on the background. For this I die cut a rectangle panel from white linen textured card stock. Than I stamped my sentiment using one of the sentiments from the Kaisercraft “Background Birthday Sentiments” stamp set using black ink.
Next I placed my stencil of choice (this one is TCW678s) over the panel and applied some Spectrum Noir Midas Metallic Ink in the colour “Blush” over the stencil using a foam applicator tool. This ink stays wet for quite some time so after applying the ink I added some JudiKins “White Diamond” Embossing Powder over some parts of the panel and melted it using my heat tool.

Step 3:
Time to put my card together: I die cut a slightly larger rectangle panel from matching green card stock and adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered to a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.
To finish my card I now only have to adhere the cupcake image on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

That is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
