Enjoy the ride!

Hi everyone, today I would like to share this fun birthday card project with you all.

In this blog post I’m not explaining how to create the sentiment wheel, there is a really good video where it is explained in detail (it’s in Dutch but you can see which items of the die set are used to create a similar project to the one that I create today). You can watch the video here:

https://www.hobbyvision.nl/nl/28-10-2020-janet-blaauw-crealies-draaikaart-met-lemoncraft-raspberry.html

To create the parts to put the sentiment wheel and the squire panels around it together I used the Crealies “Cardzz CLCZ303” Spinning Wheel Card die set ( https://www.crealies.nl/nl/product/cardzzclcz303 ). For my sentiments I picked stamps from the Crealies Text & Co Stamp Sets “CLWSEN02” and “CLWSEN04”. Design paper is from my stash, use whatever you have and like.

The focal point of this card is a stamp by StampingBella called “Vienna and her Vespa”, I stamped the image onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface Paper using black ink and I heat embossed afterwards, which keeps the lines black and crisp, no matter how much water I add. The stamp that is also included in this stamp set (which reads “life’s too short, enjoy the ride”) I stamped on the inside of the card.

For colouring today’s image I used my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers in combination with a water brush:

For my greens I used: Alpine Geen and Forest.

For my purple I used: Orchid.

For the skin I picked: Spice.

For the hair I used: Terracotta and Chocolate.

For the orangy parts I picked: Sunset and Marigold.

Black is Black and around the image I use a little Sandstone.

On the white parts I used a little Flint and on the glass of the lamp I used a little Lake Blue.

You can find all the Aqua Markers I used here: https://www.crafterscompanion.eu/art-and-colouring/spectrum-noir/aqua.html

I add as many layers as I like to create the outcome that I prefer, dry with your heat tool in between layers. After the colouring is done I add in some highlights using a white gel pen. Than I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Time to put my project together: today I’m using a craft coloured base card. I adhere the design paper and the sentiment wheel using liquid glue and one millimetre thick foam tape and to finish this fun project I adhere the coloured image on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it for today’s colouring project, I wish you a creative day!
