Hi everyone, today I would like to share this year’s Father’s day card with you all!
I’m not going to explain how to create the sentiment wheel, there is a really good video where it is explained in detail (it’s in Dutch but you can see which items of the die set are used to create a similar project to the one that I create today). You can watch the video here:
To create the parts to put the sentiment wheel and the squire panels around it together I used the Crealies “Cardzz CLCZ303” Spinning Wheel Card die set ( https://www.crealies.nl/nl/product/cardzzclcz303 ). For my sentiments I picked stamps from the The Ton “Basic Sentiments” stamp set. Design paper is from my stash, use whatever you have and like.
After the base part was ready I printed the focal image onto alcohol marker friendly paper: this image is by Dr. Digi and it’s called “Dunderton Decorators Ltd”. Now I can start colouring: today I used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and one Spectrum Noir Classique Marker (that is not available in the Illustrator version yet). For skin I used: FS7, TN1 and TN2;
For the hair and the silver parts I used: BG1 and BG4;
For my yellows I picked: GB4 and GY5 in combination with the Classique GY05;
For the corally reddish parts I picked: CR5, CR7 and BO4;
For the brown parts I picked: TN4, TN6 and EB4;
And for my tealish greens I picked: AB1, AB3 and JG7;
Around the image I coloured with some of the yellow colours mentioned before.
After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and than I fussy cut the image leaving a small border. On the glasses I added some Ranger “Glossy Accents” and let that dry.
I used a craft coloured card base on which I adhered the design paper and the sentiment wheel. And to finish the card I now only had to adhere the coloured and fussy cut image using one millimetre thick foam tape.
