Hi everyone, today I have a fun and bright birthday card project to share with you all!
I started my project by stamping one of the images from the WPlus9 stamp set called “Flora & Fauna 3” onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using a juicy black ink and heat embossing directly afterwards using a clear embossing powder. This way my lines stay black and crisp no matter how much water I add.

Now I can colour the image using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in combination with my water brush. I used the following colours: Sand, Red Grape, Bright Yellow, Light Brown, Aquamarine Blue, Smoky Teal, Ever Green and Smoky Olive. After the colouring was done and dry I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.
I found some fun design paper in my stash: this particular one is from the Studio Light Jenine’s Mindful Art “Write Your Story” collection (JMA-WYS-PP34). I die cut a rectangle panel two sizes smaller than my card base and stamped my sentiment (this particular one is from the Simon Says Stamp “Beautiful Flowers” stamp set). I also die cut a slightly larger matching dark pink panel and adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue.

To finish my project I know only have to adhere this combination of rectangle panels onto a creme coloured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and adhere the coloured and fussy cut images on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it for today’s card project! I wish you a creative day!
