Gloria at the Pool

Hi everyone, today I would like to share this summery card project with you all. Doesn’t this image make you long for summer? I know it totally works for me!

I started my project by printing this digital image by Mo’s Digital Pencil called “Gloria at the Pool” onto alcohol marker friendly paper. Next I can start the colouring process using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers.

For her skin I used a combination of FS7, CR1, TN1 and TN2.

For her hair I picked GB1, GY3, GB5 and GB7 and for the yellow parts I used all of these colours except for the GB7 marker.

For the greens I used: LG1, LG3 and LG5.

For the pinks I used: BP1, BP4 and BP6, creating the lightest highlights using my Blender (colourless) marker.

For the water I used a combination of BT1, BT3 and BT8.

You can find all the SN Illustrator Markers that I used here: https://www.crafterscompanion.eu/art-and-colouring/spectrum-noir/illustrator.html

When the colouring was done I added in some highlights using a white gel pen and than I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

I kept my background simple since the coloured image is fairly large: I die cut a square panel two sizes smaller than my card base using white card stock. Onto this panel I stamped one of the sentiments from the Clearly Besotted “Sweet Sentiments Plus” stamp set using black ink.

I also die cut a slightly larger panel from matching green card stock and adhered both square panels together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered to my white card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

Onto this base I adhered my coloured image also using one millimetre thick foam tape and to finish my card I added some Pretty Pink Posh “Sparkling Clear Sequins” in different sizes using Ranger Medium Matte from the small bottle.

And that is it for today’s fun summery project! I wish you a creative day!
