Hi everyone, today I would like to share this fun coloured pencil art journal page with you all!

Step 1:
Today I’m working on one of the craft coloured pages in the Jenine’s Mindful Art Slimline Journal (JMA-ES-JOUR03). I took the page out of the journal and than applied some Spectrum Noir Opaque Pigment ink in “Pure White” over two stencil designs using a foam applicator tool. I used the stencils JMA-WAC-MASK59 en JMA-ES-MASK41 for this.

Step 2:
Next I’m stamping the flower image from the JMA-ES-STAMP68 stamp set, as well as the loose leaves and the butterfly from the JMA-NA-STAMP19 twice onto Strathmore Toned Tan paper using black ink.
Now the colouring fun can begin: I usually start by mapping out where my highlights will be, for this I use a white drawing pencil. Next I apply the coloured pencil colours that I picked out and apply them lightly. Followed my multiple layers of white en coloured pencil until I like what I have. This takes a lot of time, like multiple hours, but that’s okay for me! After the colouring is done I fussy cut the images leaving a small border. If you went over the stamped lines a little too much you can correct that with a black fineliner pen.
I used the following colours of Spectrum Noir ColourBlend pencils for colouring the images: Cupid, Pink Violet, Periwinkle, Admiral Blue, Amazon Green and Fern Green.

Step 3:
To create a bit of contrast between the first and the second flower behind that I die cut a doily using the STENCILJMA10 die set and some vellum. This is what my lay out looks like right now (nothing is adhered at this stage). Here is where I think of what my page needs and what needs to be added.

Step 4:
I adhered one of the sentiments from the STICKERJMA05 stickerbook onto matching dark pink mirror card stock and cut around it using my scissors. I also die cut some reinforcements using the Crealies CLJP650 Binder Reinforcement Shapes and matching card stock (that I edged using Distress Ink in “Faded Jeans” and a foam applicator tool).
I also stamped on the craft coloured background using brown ink and the script stamp from the flower stamp set and I created splatters using a Coliro Pearl Colour in “Sky Blue” in combination with a brush.

Step 5:
Now it is time to finish my project, I adhered all the elements to the page using one millimetre thick foam tape and Ranger Medium Matte from the small bottle and cutting of the excess using my scissors. I totally love how this page turned out!

And that is it for today’s art journal project! I wish you a creative day!
