Hi everyone, today I would like to share a less elaborate card project with you all, normally CAS cards (Clean And Simple) are not really my style, too much white space, but today, with this gorgeous flower stamp in mind, it felt right!

Step 1:
I started my project by stamping two of the flower images and one of the leaf images from the new JMA stamp set “Primrose Elements” (JMA-ES-STAMP139) onto Clairefontaine Paint On a Grain paper (with the blue text) using black ink and heat embossing directly afterwards using clear embossing powder. Now I can colour these beautiful primroses using the new Studio Light Markers in combination with a water brush. I used the following marker colours: Tiger Lily, Primary Yellow, Macchiato, Violet Dark, Willow Green, Sap Green and Warm Grey 3. I apply the marker directly to the paper and wash out the colour using my water brush. I add as many layers until I’m happy with the result.
After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the images leaving a small border.

Step 2:
For my background I die cut a rectangle panel two sizes smaller than my card base from the same Paint On a Grain paper. Onto this panel I stamped my sentiment (this particular one is from the STAMPJMA07 stamp set) using black ink.
Next I applied some Spectrum Noir Water-Reactive ink in the colour “Frosty Jade” over one of the gorgeous new stencils (“Grungy Floral Pattern” JMA-ES-MASK78) using a stencil brush. Make sure you fade out the colour towards the edges of the design.

Step 3:
Time to put my project together: this is really easy: I adhered the background panel onto a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and I adhered the coloured and fussy cut images on top also using foam tape.

And that is it for today’s fun colouring project! I wish you a creative day!
