Jenine’s Mindful Art Guest Project: Christmas Card

Hi everyone, today I would like to share this fun and quick Christmas card project with you all!

Step 1:

I stamped the main flower image from the JMA-WYS-STAMP209 stamp onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using a juicy black ink and heat embossing directly afterwards using clear embossing powder. Next I die cut a square shape around the flower image using a square nesting die set.

Now I can colour the flower image using the JMA Light Markers in combination with a water brush: I used the following marker colours: Brown Grey, Old Red, Geranium and Pine Forest. After the colouring is done and dry I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

Later on I will create a slightly larger mat from black card stock and adhere both panels together using liquid glue.

Step 2:

Next I die cut a square panel one size smaller than my card base. Onto this panel I stamp the JMA-ES-STAMP140 background stamp using a light brown ink and taking some of the ink of on the bottom part of the stamp (using a paper towel).

This will leave some room for my black sentiment stamp (Whimsy Stamp “The Nutcracker”).

Step 3:

The rest of the card is easy: I adhered the large background panel onto my card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and than adhered the combined smaller square panels on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it for today’s, first of the Season, Christmas card project! I wish you a creative day!
