Hi everyone, today I would like to share another Guest Design Project for the Jenine’s Mindful Art collection by Studio Light with you all!

Step 1:
I started my project by die cutting the mandala die from the Time to Relax line (STENCILJMA11) three times from creme coloured card stock. I adhered all three layers together using liquid glue. This creates a nice thick mandala shape that I adhere on my square creme coloured linen textured card base.

Step 2:
Next I stamped the sentiment from the STAMPJMA07 stamp set onto the same creme coloured card stock that I created the mandala shapes from, using black ink, and cut the sentiment out.
I also stamped the hydrangea flower image from the same stamp set onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using black ink and I heat embossed directly afterwards using clear embossing powder. This way my stamped lines stay black and crisp no matter how much water I add. I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.
Now I can colour the flower image and for this I use my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers in combination with a water brush. I used the following Aqua Marker colours: Magenta, Orchid, Navy, Sea Green and Ocean Green. After the colouring is done and dry I add back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

Step 3:
To create a bit more interest in the background of the card I created splatters using a Coliro Pearl Colour in “Blue Silver” in combination with a brush and let that dry.
And to finish the card I now only have to adhere the hydrangea flower image and the sentiment on top of the mandala using liquid glue and one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it for today’s fun flowery card project! I wish you a creative day!
