Hi everyone, today I’m sharing this fun layered guest design project for the Jenine’s Mindful Art line with you all!

Step 1:
From one of the paper pads from the New Awakening collection within the Jenine’s Mindful Art line (JMA-NA-PP01) I choose two patterned papers and made them to size the way you can see in the picture (the large square panel is two sizes smaller than my card base). The template is by Dutch Doobadoo with number 470.713.100 (you just trace the lines and cut them out with your scissors). On the white template I used an edge distresser and on the teal panel I used a teal ink pad (Color Box “Abyss) to create a more distinct border.

Step 2:
As my focal point I picked the flower from the Jenine’s Mindful Art Essentials collection with number JMA-ES-STAMP65. I stamped the flower onto alcohol marker friendly paper using black alcohol proof ink (by Spectrum Noir).
I coloured the flower and around the flower using the following Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers (each marker contains three colours from the same colour family): Purple Blend marker, Bright Pink Shades marker, Dull Green Blend marker, Yellow Green Blend marker and Aqua Blue Blend marker. After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Step 3:
Now that I know what my lay out will be I decided my background needed a little something extra: I stamped the swirl stamp from the JMA-ES-STAMP68 onto the background panel using the same matching teal coloured ink as before (Color Box “Abyss”, you can use any matching ink colour that you have). And I also created splatters by splattering with a Coliro Pearl colour in “Blackberry”.

Step 4:
Now I’m ready to put my project together: for this I die cut an additional square panel from matching dark aubergine coloured card stock and I adhered both square panels together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered onto a creme coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.
From the sticker book from the Time to Relax collection (STICKERJMA05) I picked a sentiment and matted it onto aubergine coloured mirror card and I cut this out leaving a small border.
I adhered the two Dutch Doobadoo cut out templates together using liquid glue, onto these combined panels I adhered the coloured and fussy cut image, I adhered the sentiment and used a tacker on the stem of the flower for some added detail.
And to finish the card I now only have to adhere this combination onto the base layers using one millimetre thick foam tape.

That is it for today’s card project! I wish you a creative day!
