Hi everyone, today I’m sharing this fun boy birthday card with you all!
I started my project by stamping the Lili of the Valley image called “Just Chilling ...” onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using a juicy black ink and heat embossing directly afterwards using a clear embossing powder. When stamping the image I made sure that I could die cut a circle shape around the image, so, this is what I did next! Followed by stamping the sentiment using one of the sentiments from the Altenew “Persian Motifs” stamp set.

Now I can start colouring the image using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in combination with a water brush. I’m using the colours: Pale Dawn Gray, Mid Brown, Mocha Brown, Plum Gray, Aquamarine Blue, Smoky Teal, Pale Pink, Oatmeal and Ever Green. After the colouring is done and dry I’m adding back in some highlights using a white gel pen.
Now that my focal point is ready I can work on my background. For this I die cut a square panel from matching design paper, two sizes smaller than my card base. I also die cut a circle shape and a slightly larger square panel from matching olive green card stock. I adhered the circle and square panels onto each using liquid glue.

To finish the card is easy: I adhered the combined square panels onto a creme coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and finished the card by adhering the combined circle shapes on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.
