Milly’s Bouquet

Hi everyone, today I would like to share this colourful and flowery card with you all.

Step 1:

I started my project by stamping this gorgeous flower image by Paper Rose Studio called “Milly’s Bouquet” onto alcohol marker friendly paper using alcohol proof black ink.

For colouring I used my Spectrum Noir (original) TriBlend alcohol markers (which you can find here): https://www.crafterscompanion.eu/art-and-colouring/spectrum-noir/triblend-markers.html

For the blue toned flowers I used the Aqua Blue Blend Marker and the Blue Turquoise Shades marker.

For the coral flowers I used the Coral Blend marker and the Burnt Orange Blend (only darkest colour) marker.

For the leaves I picked the Gold Yellow Blend marker, the Gold Brown Blend marker and the Gold Brown Shades marker.

Around the image I coloured using the Citrus Blend marker and the Gold Yellow Blend marker.

I just pick and choose which colours I want to use keeping my swatch book next to me.

After the colouring was done I added in some highlights using a white gel pen and I made the centers of the flowers darker using a black Glaze pen.

Next I fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Step 2:

For my background I die cut a rectangle panel one size smaller than my card base. Onto this panel stamped my sentiment (this one is from the Clearly Besotted “Simply Said Birthday” stamp set) using black ink.

I picked my stencil of choice (this one is TCW924s) and I applied some Spectrum Noir Harmony Water-Reactive Ink in “Straw Bale” over the stencil using a stencil brush.

Step 3:

Now I can put my card together: I adhered my background panel to my craft coloured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and than added the coloured image on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

To finish my card I adhered some matching metallic sequins using Ranger Medium Matte and let that dry.

And that is it for today’s project, I wish you a creative day!
