Romantic Gift Card

Hi everyone, today I would like to share this romantic gift card idea with you. A while back my parents had their 50th wedding anniversary, but with them being in the risk age category and the Corona thing going on they didn’t want to celebrate big or go anywhere special. That is why I designed this gift idea, which is a credit note for a two person activity like going to the theatre, a musical of something like that. I don’t think I ever created something romantic like this and I totally love how this project turned out!

Step 1:

I used the Joy Crafts “Wedding Invitation Pocket” to create the front of the pocket that you can see in hte picture. I cut the pocket from rose gold design paper. Behind that I put a piece of olive green card stock. The rest of the design, which is not a die, you have to create yourself: create a rectangle shape and then punch the rounded edges. The green panel is slightly taller and wider than the rose gold panel. Adhere all the elements together using Scor-Tape and liquid glue and let dry.

Step 2:

For the label, that fits into the pocket I draw out the design from the Dutch Doobadoo template 470.713.173 onto matching green design paper and than cut of a few millimetres from both sizes to make it less wide, so it fits nicely inside the pocket. I rounded the edges on the bottom with a punch.

Now my base is ready! Time to decorate!

Step 3:

I punched two holes in the top of the label for my ribbon to be added later on. Next I added the details for my credit note onto the back using my calligraphy handwriting and a Spectrum Noir ArtLiner in brown.

Step 4:

On the front of the tag I made a bow using white organza ribbon and than added a matching colour rose by Wild Orchid Crafts. From matching glitter card stock I die cut the filligree design you can see in the picture using the Joy Crafts die number 6002/0314 and adhered onto the tag using liquid glue.

Step 5:

Now I can stamp some swirly designs using a no name brand stamp and some Spectrum Noir Harmony Water-Reactive ink in “Friar Brown”. I also edged the tag with this ink colour using a faom applicator tool. The two hearts on the beach image is by Syta van Gelderen, which I cut out and layered onto white linen textured card stock. I adhered this image onto the tag using one millimetre thick foam tape

The tickets are from two stamp sets by Coosa Crafts (“Tickets 1” and “Tickets 2”), stamped onto rose gold design paper (the rose gold design paper used on today’s project is from the Crafter’s Companion Rose Gold Collection paper pad) using the same brown ink as before and cut the tickets out, close to the lines. I adhered the cut out tickets on top of what I already have using foam tape and liquid glue.

For the pocket itself I die cut the numbers 5 and 0 three times from white card stock and once from the same glitter card stock that I used before using the Winnie & Walter “Typecast: Cary Numbers Cutaways” die set. I layered three white elements and one glitter element on top using liquid glue and than adhered this combination to the pocket. The sparkle is really difficult to capture in a picture, in real life it’s much more obvious!

Add the tag into the pocket and I’m finished!

And that is it for today’s really cute and romantic project! I wish you a creative day!
