Rudbeckia Birthday Card

Hi everyone, today I’m showing you another Crealies guest design project with the new Crealies flower stamps and today’s flower is the Rudbeckia (Echinacea). In Dutch it’s called “kegelbloem”. Let’s get started!

Step 1:

Today’s base is created using the Crealies Cardzz Camera die set. I used black card stock for the bottom and in between layers and some design paper from my stash to create the pink background.

Step 2:

Onto my focal point: I’m stamping this gorgeous new flower image by Crealies onto alcohol marker friendly paper twice using alcohol proof ink. From one of the flowers I’m only using certain parts.

For today’s colouring I’m using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and around the image I’m colouring with my SN Classique marker in AP05, because it’s matching the design paper nicely. Next I fussy cut my flowers leaving a small border.

Now I can colour the actual flower images and I’m using the following colours of alcohol markers: yellow: Classique LY05, Illustrators in CT4, GY3 and GY5; green: Classique LG05, Illustrators in AG2 and DG4; brown: Illustrators in GB1, GB8, GB10 and EB7.

After the colouring is done I’m adding back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

Step 3:

For my sentiment I’m using one of the sentiments from the Crealies CLTZJ18 stamp set and I stamped onto a die cut label (cut with the Crealies Duo Dies16 die set) using black ink.

Step 4:

Time to put my card together: I adhered all the camera elements (except for the flashlight part) together using liquid glue and this combination I adhered onto a creme coloured linen textured rectangle card base also using liquid glue.

I adhered the two coloured flower images together using regular tape, cut of one of the green leaves and adhered this combination to the sentiment label also using regular tape. The left over green leaf I adhered back on on the left hand side.

My focal point is ready now and I can adhere this onto the camera using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And to finish my card I’m adding some sparkling clear sequins in different sizes using Ranger Medium Matte from the small bottle.

And that is it for today’s guest design project! I wish you a creative day!
