Hi everyone, Happy New Year! I hope that all your dreams for this new year will come true! Today I have this fun and bright shimmery card project for you all!

Step 1:
I started my project by stamping this image by Crafter’s Companion called “You are my Sunshine” onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface paper using juicy black ink. Directly afterwards I heat emboss the image using clear embossing powder (you get an even better result if you use an anti-static powder tool before stamping). This way the stamped lines stay black and crisp, no matter how much water you add.
For today’s colouring I’m using my Spectrum Noir Glitter Markers. I use them the following way: shake the marker first, then apply the pigment onto a porcelain surface by pumping the marker which releases the colour (you can use a glass work surface as well, any non-porous surface really), than I pick up the colour with a regular (small) brush, colour in the project and wash the colour out using water if you prefer a lighter tone.
I used the following colours:
For the flower: Ultraviolet, Electric Pink, Neon Violet, Neon Pink, and for the heart of the flower: Neon Yellow and Supernova.
For the dragon: a bit of the Electric Pink, but mostly Neon Green and Jade Aqua. By layering the colours you can create different colours than using them on their own.
To darken some shadow area’s I used the Carbon colour.
For the ladybug I used Fiery Red.
After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen.
Next I die cut around the image using a nesting die set.

Step 2:
The rest of the card is easy: I die cut a rectangle panel one size smaller than my card base for design paper from my stash. Onto this panel I stamped one of the sentiments from the Clearly Besotted “Many Mini Messages” stamp set using black ink.
This panel I adhered onto a creme coloured linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape. And to finish the card I now only have to adhere the coloured image on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
