Sweet Birdie

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing this supereasy birthday card with you all!

I started my project by stamping the branch and the bird image from the Art by Marlene “Sweet Birdie” stamp set onto Art by Marlene Essentials Allround Paper using black ink and heat embossing directly afterwards using clear embossing powder.

Next I’m colouring the images using the Art by Marlene “Bold & Bright” watercolour set in combination with water and a brush.

After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen and I fussy cut the images leaving a small border.

For my background I picked a matching pink design paper from my stash and onto this die cut rectangle panel (two sizes smaller than my card base) I stamped one of the sentiments from the Crafter’s Companion “Tropical Lovebirds” stamp set, also using black ink.

Next I added gold splatters using a Coliro Pearl colour in “Inka Gold” and let that dry.

From some matching dark green card stock I die cut a slightly larger rectangle panel and I adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue. This combination I adhered onto a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

And to finish the card I now only have to adhere the coloured and fussy cut images on top also using liquid glue and one millimetre thick foam tape.

And that is it for today’s crafty project! I wish you a creative day!
