The Old Days Series: Your life is a canvas

Hi everyone, today I have fun coloured card for you all! I love Stampingbella stamps, they are so quirky and the sentiments that go with the images are just fabulous. The stamped image that I used on today’s card is rather large but I didn’t wanted to crop it so I used a vellum overlay for the sentiment!

To get this card started I stamped the image from the Stampingbella “Uptown girl Abigail the Artist“ onto some Copic friendly paper using Memento “Tuxedo Black“ ink. Then I die cut around the image using a stitched square die from one of square nesting die sets.

Next I coloured the image using my Copic Sketch markers, I used the following colours: E000, R00, R01, W00, W3, W5, C00, C3, C4, E50, E23, E59, E89, BG000, BG53, BG07, BG75, V000, RV11, RV34, RV99, B60, BV31, BV00, V17 and BV08. I also used a white Gelly Roll pen to put back in some of the details.

When the colouring was done I die cut a slightly larger square panel, using one of my regular square nesting die sets, from some matching dusty pink card stock. I adhered those two panels together using liquid glue.

Then I stamped the sentiment from this stamp set onto vellum using Versafine “Onyx Black” ink and I clear heat embossed afterwards. I die cut around the sentiment using a regular rectangle die from a rectangle nesting die set. I adhered the sentiment to the project using see through tape runner. I love that you can still see the coloured image through the vellum!

And then it’s already time to finish this card: I adhered the combined panels to a white linen textured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape and for a little bit of extra bling I added some Pretty Pink Posh “Sparkling Clear“ sequins using Ranger Medium Matte.

I loved colouring this image and the sentiment is so true, in all a great card project!

I wish you’ll a creative day!
