Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you another challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Embellishments”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!
For today’s project I choose a digital image from The Paper Shelter called “I wish I was there”.
I started my project by printing this image onto alcohol marker friendly paper. Next I die cut a smallish rectangle shape around it using one of my nesting die sets.

Now the colouring fun can begin and for today’s project I’m using my Spectrum Noir original TriBlend markers. Each marker comes with three different colours in the same colour family.
I used the following markers: Fair Skin Blend, Tan Blend, Magenta Blend, Alpine Green Blend, Gold Yellow Blend, Gold Brown Shades, Earth Brown Shades, Lavender Blend, Ice Grey Shades, Brown Grey Shades, Blue Turquoise Shades, Aqua Blue Blend, True Blue Blend and Ice Blue Blend. I kept adding layers of colour until I was happy with the result. You can find all the markers that I used on today’s project here:

After the colouring is done I added back some highlights using a white gel pen and I put some Ranger Glossy Accents on the sunglasses and let that dry.
Now that the colouring is done I can work on the rest of the card. I die cut a slightly larger rectangle panel from gold holographic card stock and I adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue.
I also die cut a square panel form pinkish design paper (from my stash), one size smaller than my card base and stamped my sentiment using black ink (this sentiment is from a stamp set by Simon Says Stamp called “Tiny Words”. Around this square panel I wrapped a piece of matching green ribbon and adhered on the back using regular tape. This square panel with the ribbon I adhered onto a white card base using one millimetre thick foam tape.

Next I adhered the combined rectangle panels on top also using one millimetre thick foam tape. And to finish my project I know only have to adhere my other embellishments: the ribbon bow and some sparkling clear sequins in different sizes, using Ranger Medium Matte in the small bottle.

And that is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
