Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Anything except a Card”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

For today’s project I choose a digital image from The Paper Shelter called “Having a Good Time”: https://www.thepapershelter.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=673
and I’m creating a project in my art journal with this.
I started my project by printing this image onto alcohol marker friendly paper. Today I’m colouring with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers and a few of the SN Classique markers.
For skin I used: FS7, TN1, TN2 and CR1 (for blush) and the Classique CR05 marker;
For hair I used: BG1, BG4, BG7, RB2 and EB5;
For my yellow and brown hues I used: CT4, GY3, GB5, GB1, GB7, RB2 and EB5;
For my reds I used: CR1, PP4, CR7, DR2 and DR5;
For my blues I used: TB3, TB5, TB8 and the Classique IB05 marker;
For my greens I used: LG1, AG2, DG4 and YG3.
After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white Gelly Roll pen.

As mentioned before, today I’m creating a project in my art journal, each panel in this journal is 14,5 cm x 20,5 cm in size. I cut these panels from Crafter’s Companion watercolour card and I will adhere them into my journal later on.
On the right hand panel I pencil in my quote that I want to use on today’s project, first with a graphite pencil and when I’m happy with the result I will go over the lines with a black Spectrum Noir ArtLiner Pen (which is waterproof).
Next I placed my stencil of choice (TCW “Wisteria”) on the left hand panel and applied some glitter pastes over the stencil using a palette knife. For today’s project I used the following glitter pastes: Imagination Crafts Sparkle Medium in “Sage” and Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Paste in “Frosty Blossom”.
After the glitter paste has dried of I can add my green tones to the project. I started with my lightest spray, which is Lindy’s Stamp Gang spray in “Merry-go-Round Green” and I used that over the whole left panel but focusing at the bottom part of the left hand side (and also adding a little to the right hand panel in two area’s). I combined this colour with some water to no create hard line edges. I dabbed of any excess liquid using a paper towel. Than I dried the panels with my heat tool.
On the bottom part of the left hand panel I next added first some Lindy’s Spray in “Greased Lightnin’Green” and later on some “Green with Envy Green” (which contains shimmer), both in combination with water. After drying I added some splatters in these colours.
Lastly I edged both panels with a dark brown ink in combination with a foam applicator tool.

Now I can adhere my project into the above mentioned art journal: for this I used gel medium and a brush. Wash the brush afterwards, the gel medium will act as a glue.
