The Paper Shelter Challenge #483

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Animals”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

For today’s project I choose a digital image from The Paper Shelter called “Butterfly Whisperer”.

I started my project by printing this image onto alcohol marker friendly paper. Next I die cut a rectangle shape around the image, using one of my nesting die sets and leaving room at the top for my sentiment. After die cutting I can then stamp my sentiment on the top part of the panel and for today’s card I’m using a combination of stamps from the Altenew “Needlework Motif” stamp set in combination with black alcohol proof ink.

Now I can start the colouring process. Today I’m colouring with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers and a few of the SN Classique markers.

For skin I used: a Classique marker in CR05, and Illustrator markers in FS7, TN1, TN2 and CR1 for blush;

For hair I used: FS9, GB2, MB2, GB5, TN9 and EB7;

For green I used: a Classique marker in LG05 and Illustrator markers in AG2 and DG4;

For red I used: CR1, DR1 an CR11;

For yellow I used: GB2 and GB5;

And for purple I used: a Classique marker in HB05 and Illustrator markers in HB3 and PL4.

After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

Now I only have to die cut a slightly larger deep red rectangle mat, adhere both rectangle panels together using liquid glue and adhere this combination onto a white linen texture base card using one millimetre thick foam tape.

So now it's your turn! Come and play with us over at The Paper Shelter, and you could win an amazing $30 gift voucher if you use an image from The Paper Shelter. And if you enter with a different brand image, you can still win three TPS digis of your choice (which you can then use to enter the next challenge, and so be eligible for the $30 voucher!).

And that is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
