The Paper Shelter Challenge #491

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “Bookmark”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!

Step 1:

I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “Wild Rose” onto alcohol marker friendly paper.

Next I can start the colouring process and today I’m mainly using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers in combination with a few Spectrum Noir Classique markers:

FS8, BO3, BO4, AB1, BT3, BT8, LV3 and Classique markers in HB05 and BO05.

After the colouring is done I added back in some highlights using a white gel pen.

Now I can fussy cut the image leaving a small border.

Step 2:

Using a template by Dutch Doobadoo (470.713.136 Tag XL) I create the base for my bookmark from design paper from my stash and I edged the bookmark design using a Spectrum Noir Harmony Water-Reactive ink in “Green Topaz” in combination with a foam applicator tool.

Step 3:

I adhered the flower image onto the bookmark using liquid glue after I stamped the text onto the bookmark using black ink. The stamp comes from a Stampin’Up stamp set called “Crafting Forever”.

You can leave it at this or step it up: I like to laminate my bookmarks so they live longer, than I punch a hole in the top and add a ribbon for decoration. And than my bookmark is finished.

So now it's your turn! Come and play with us over at The Paper Shelter, and you could win an amazing $30 gift voucher if you use an image from The Paper Shelter. And if you enter with a different brand image, you can still win three TPS digis of your choice (which you can then use to enter the next challenge, and so be eligible for the $30 voucher!).

And that is it for today’s project! I wish you a creative day!
