Hi everyone, today I’m sharing with you this weeks challenge project for The Paper Shelter Design Team and this weeks theme is “New Beginnings”. You can find all the details for the current challenge here!
Step 1:
I started my project by printing this digital image by The Paper Shelter called “Newborn Baby Dragon” onto Strathmore Toned Tan Paper.
I die cut a rectangle shape around the dragon baby leaving room at the bottom for my sentiment. Next I stamped my sentiment onto the project using black ink. Today’s sentiment is from the Kaisercraft “Little One” stamp set.
Now I can start the colouring process: I used a white drawing pencil to add my highlights in the project. This already makes the image come to life!
Step 2:
For the actual coloured pencils I’m using my Spectrum Noir ColourBlend coloured pencils in the colours : Atlantic Blue, Shamrock, Pear Green, Redcurrant and Clementine.
Step 3:
The rest of the card is easy: I die cut a slightly larger rectangle panel from matching bright green card stock and I adhered both rectangle panels together using liquid glue.
And to finish this card I adhered this combination onto a creme coloured linen textured base card using one millimetre thick foam tape.
